A little something I wrote.

There you are again passing through my memories
Here I am again trying to forget what you did to me.

It’s so hard to breathe
at the reminder that you betrayed me.

I didn’t know we went off track,
until you went behind my back.

Now with each day
I only wish to say

Not a day goes by where I don’t blame me
Not a day goes by where I don’t wish I had seen
Not a day goes by without me crying
Not a day goes by where I don’t ask the question why

When I heard the news
I had to refuse

I wanted to believe
That you would never leave

I wanted to trust you,
and you left me all too blue.

Now with each day
I only wish to say

Not a day goes by where I don’t ask the question why

The question why

If I had seen how steep the mountain was you were climbing,
I would have held you tight when you lost all your might.

If I had seen that the water you were swimming in was deep,
and the waves went over your head.

I would have rocked you strong when you were done wrong.
And when you felt that the whole world turned on you, I would have told you that I still love you.

Could only decide
To write his own end
His suicide.
